MediaStar by Uniguest, the brand behind the MediaStar range of IPTV, streaming and digital signage solutions will be unveiling two new solutions at ISE 2023. The MediaStar 800 8K Media Player breaks new ground by providing the latest in 8K technology advances for the cost of a 4K player; while the launch of Media Manager as a Service brings all the functionality and features of the popular management software hosted in the cloud.
Located on the Uniguest booth 5D350, MediaStar by Uniguest will be demonstrating the new solutions and will also take part in a speed pitch hosted by the AV User Group.
The MediaStar 800 8K moves the dial when it comes to outputting 8K HDMI video from live IP streams, web pages, locally stored video files or content from a corporate video server. Offering an exceptional cost-performance ratio, the 800 is priced at little more than 4K devices but is fully 8K-capable and specifically designed for corporate, sports, digital signage and other commercial applications.
Secure, reliable and low maintenance, the 800 Media Player can be deployed company-wide and configured using Media Manager software with its easy ‘automatic device discovery’ and ‘drag and drop’ interface.
The hardware platform of the 800, built on a Linux OS, is designed to be situated close to display screens, and uses an Octal processor core to provide fast rendering of HTML5 web page content, including live and stored video and the display of HDCP Professional protected live video streams.
As well as providing users with a low cost to entry, the MediaStar 800 is future proofed. The base unit which allows for HD output, can be upgraded for 4K and then further upgraded for 8K without any need for the hardware to be replaced at any point.
In response to customer demand for a cloud based media management service, MediaStar is launching Media Manager-as-a-Service. It comes complete with all the features of the popular content management system, including the Analytics Module launched at ISE last year.
Deployed from the cloud, customers will be able to fully control their media environment, access reporting and manage the capture, storage and display of their media assets so they can be used to accurately target information to their audience in the right location at the right time.
Instead of downloading the Media Manager software programme to local servers, customers will be offered a subscription service, providing them with access to the cloud-based solution.
Shaun Oxenham, CEO, MediaStar Systems, said: “The launch of these two significant products, that further enhance our IPTV, streaming and digital signage line, also demonstrate our continued R&D commitment to future-proofing our solutions and providing customers with a long-term ROI. At ISE we are making leading-edge technology available that will be upgradeable in the future as well as being interoperable with new applications and configurations.
