A casino chain that operates across the Netherlands, is delivering vital gaming information and live television to its customers thanks to the recent deployment of MediaStar IPTV systems from MediaStar Systems.
A prominent chain of casinos in the Netherlands was already using MediaStar Encoders to narrowcast content to the casino floor in its flagship venue in Amsterdam. The requirement to expand this into another venue meant that additional technology needed to be used to manage the strict content-encryption restrictions of Dutch broadcasters
A renovation at the casino chain’s Rotterdam venue included a new sports bar, where the MediaStar DVB LAN-Caster gateways for Digital Satellite and Digital Terrestrial Re-Broadcast were installed. These enable the casino to comply with the country’s content encryption guidelines. In addition, with a wide variety of sports channels to choose from, the casino was looking to MediaStar Systems to provide a tool that could manage a schedule of programmes, and Media Manager was specified.
The varied range of games and entertainment on offer from the casino runs alongside live broadcasts, access to this breadth of content has had a positive impact on customer experience. Guests can receive uninterrupted coverage of live sports ranging from baseball and football to motorsport and boxing, so they are fully informed and entertained during their visits.
